ST. STEPHEN THE PROTOMARTYR PARISH, LIGAO CITY PARISH COMMISSION ON TEMPORALITIES

Temporalities at the Forefront: Ensuring the Vitality of Our Parish

On February 8, 2025, a significant meeting of the Commission on Temporalities at St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish was held with the Barangay Pastoral Coordinators on Temporalities in attendance. The agenda for the meeting was centered on the timely submission of essential reports that would aid in the Parish’s Planning and Assessment Processes.

One of the key points discussed during the meeting was the importance of submitting both the inventory reports and financial statements to Mrs. Angelita Cha, the Lay Co-chair of the Parish Commission on Temporalities. These reports are integral to the Evaluation and Planning Efforts of the Parish’s Executive Commission (ExeCom). Mrs. Cha reminded the Barangay Pastoral Coordinators on Temporalities of their responsibility to ensure that these documents are submitted on time, allowing the parish leadership, including Rev. Fr. Paulo B. Barandon, Parish Priest, to make informed for the future. In addition to the financial and inventory reports, the meeting highlighted the need for a comprehensive Inventory of Materials and Sacred Images in Each Chapel under the Parish’s Jurisdiction. This inventory will help the parish assess the condition and value of sacred items, ensuring they are properly cared for and maintained. Another key reminder given during the meeting was the submission of the Deed of Donation for the Land where each Chapel stands. This legal document is vital for the Parish’s records and will help secure the status of the chapel lots for future planning and use.

As the meeting concluded, the attendees were reminded by Mrs. Angelita Cha & Mrs. Mabel Offemaria, PPC Secretary, of the importance of cooperation in fulfilling these tasks, as they will significantly contribute to the growth and development of the Parish Community.

With these important steps in place, the Commission on Temporalities and the Executive Commission look forward to working together to foster the continued spiritual growth of the parishioners of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish, all for greater glory of God. (KIE APRIL R. VICENTE, Parish Commission on Temporalities Secretary)
