Ligao City, Albay. Sunday of April 20, 2025 St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish celebrated Easter Sunday with vibrant display of faith and community spirit. The day began with a solemn yet hopeful sunrise service, drawing a large congregation eager to witness the dawn of a new day and the triumphant resurrection of Christ. The church “Tuntunan” adorned with beautiful flowers, colorful balloons and vibrant extravagant floral arrangement, resonated with joyous hymns and prayers offered by the attendees/ parishioners.
The main Easter Mass, celebrated later in the morning, was a spectacle of faith and tradition. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Paulo B. Barandon, delivered a powerful sermon reflecting on the significance of Easter, emphasizing themes of hope, renewal and the enduring power of faith in the face of adversity. The choir’s uplifting rendition of traditional easter hymns added to the spiritual atmosphere.
The Easter Sunday event at St.Stephen the Protomartyr Parish was more than just a religious celebration, it was a testament to the strength and vitality of the community.
