St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish is launched the Visiting the Sick and Elderly program as part of our diverse activities for the celebration of the Feast of Sts. Joachim & Anne, at the same time the Elderly and Grandparents Day.
Sts. Joachim & Anne, the parents of Virgin Mary and grandparents of Jesus, are revered as models of faith, love, and devotion. Their feast day, July 26, is a perfect occasion for us to reach out to those in need and bring them the sacraments of healing. As Jesus said, “They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:18) We pray that these sacraments will bring healing, comfort, and peace to those we visit.
Led by Rev. Fr. Paulo B. Barandon, Parish Priest, together with Rev. Fr. Anthony Pabun, Parochial Vicar, Den Ubalde, Chair of the Commission on Family and Life, and Chona Pintor, Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) Treasurer, this activity will continue until July 26 and aims to bring the sacraments of healing: Anointing of the Sick, Confession and Communion to some of our sick and elderly parishioners.
