After the joyful yet busy celebrations of December—including Simbang Gabi, Misa de Gallo, Christmas, the Fiesta in honor of St. Stephen the Protomartyr, and New Year—the Ministry of Lectors and Commentators of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish gathered for a meeting on February 21, 2025, at 5:00 PM in the Parish Formation Hall.
The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming Lenten activities, such as the Via Crucis every Friday and Sunday during the Lenten season, the reading of the Passion of the Lord on Palm Sunday, and the Catechesis on Good Friday during the procession.
Beyond logistics, the gathering also served as a moment of reflection on the sacred duty of lectors and commentators. Members were reminded that their role is not just about reading words aloud but about proclaiming the Word of God with faith, reverence, and commitment. They were encouraged to honor their schedules, as their service is not merely for the congregation but ultimately for the Lord.
