A Sanctuary of Hope and Faith: The Concluding Day of the Parochial Celebration of Our Lady of Salvation

The solemnity of the parochial celebration in honor of Our Lady of Salvation (Nuestra Señora de Salvación) reached its spiritual peak at St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish during the Misa Concelebrada (Concelebrated Mass) held at 5:00 PM on August 31, 2026. This concluding liturgy left the faithful with a profound sense of gratitude, community spirit, and spiritual renewal.Throughout the celebration, the parish came alive with vibrant displays of devotion, bringing together active religious organizations and parishioners from all walks of life. The Holy Mass was led by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paulo B. Barandon, alongside Parochial Vicars Rev. Fr. Anthony Pabon, Rev. Fr. Marlon Bron, and Rev. Fr. Vic Espineda, and guest priest Rev. Fr. Ehrwin Peraja. The collective leadership of these concelebrating priests made the success of this year’s fiesta a powerful testament to the unwavering faith and unity that define the Ligaoeño Catholic community. This celebration became deeply significant amid the severe climate crises and global natural catastrophes currently facing the world. As the parish gathered in prayerful thanksgiving during the afternoon Mass, hearts were filled with profound empathy for those suffering from terrifying global events. The community especially offered prayers and intentions for the victims, displaced families, and emergency responders of recent tragedies, calamities, and disasters. Through the title of Our Lady of Salvation, the faithful found a sanctuary of hope, uniting in solidarity to pray that everyone affected receive swift relief, healing, and the divine strength to rebuild under the maternal protection of Inâ. As the last candles of the fiesta are extinguished and the community returns to its daily routines, the grace of the celebration remains. Rev. Fr. Paulo B. Barandon, the parochial vicars, and the parish leadership extend their deepest appreciation to every individual who contributed their time, talent, and treasure to make this parochial feast a spiritually enriching experience. Moving forward, the community of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish is challenged to carry the light of this fiesta beyond the church walls—transforming their devotion into action by becoming instruments of charity, comfort, and unwavering prayer for a hurting world.

Ad Jesum per Mariam. Viva la Virgen! Viva Nuestra Señora de Salvación!
