The Ligao City Heritage Library and Museum recently hosted the St. Stephen Protomartyr Parish Lenten Exhibit dubbed as “Camino de Esperanza” (Path of Hope), an immersive and spiritually enriching showcase that depicted the Life, Passion, and Death of Jesus Christ. The Ingress of Sacred Images started last March 18-20, 2025, and Exhibit Opening was last March 21, 2025. The exhibit drew hundreds of visitors, offering them a reflective journey through the pivotal moments of Christ’s earthly life and His ultimate sacrifice.
A Sacred Journey Through Art and Faith. The exhibit featured a series of visually captivating and meticulously crafted displays, including life-sized sculptures, paintings, and multimedia installations. Each station portrayed significant events from the life of Jesus, starting from His Nativity and public ministry, leading to His Passion, Crucifixion, and Resurrection. The Parish ExeCom, Parish Pastoral Council, together with the Parish Altares and Sacred Statue Owners Association (P. A. S. S. O. Assoc.) organized and collaborated to create realistic representations, allowing visitors to contemplate the profound messages of faith, hope, and redemption.
Impact and Significance. “Camino de Esperanza” was more than an artistic exhibit—it became a spiritual pilgrimage for parishioners and many visitors. The exhibit served as a meaningful preparation for Holy Week, inspiring personal reflection on the sacrifice and love of Christ. It also highlighted the rich religious heritage of Ligao City, preserving and promoting the community’s cultural and spiritual identity.
The exhibit will conclude on March 30, it will surely leave a lasting impression on the hearts of attendees and to those who have partaken and witnessed the captivating and mesmerizing displays, and will remind them that the path of hope, marked by Christ’s passion and resurrection, continues to inspire and guide the faithful.
