On June 22, 2025, as the universal Church celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), our parish once again lived out a beautiful tradition of faith and community—the annual Tinagba, a meaningful offering of goods in thanksgiving for God’s blessings and providence.
his year, the Tinagba offerings were specially intended for the benefit of our seminarians—the future priests of the Diocese of Legazpi. All the collected items will be distributed to our three diocesan seminaries: • St. Gregory the Great Seminary, located in Tabaco City, where the initial stages of formation and academic preparation are undertaken; • Mater Salutis College Seminary, situated in Daraga, Albay, which continues the integral development of seminarians in the college level; • Harong kan Marhay na Pastor – Theology Formation House, based in Naga City, where seminarians undergo theological and pastoral formation in preparation for ordination.
These institutions form the heart of priestly formation in our diocese. They are homes of prayer, learning, discernment, and deep spiritual growth. By sharing our resources with them, our parish becomes part of the greater mission of raising shepherds who will one day serve our parishes, comfort the sick, teach the young, and celebrate the sacraments with the People of God.
This outpouring of support comes from the generous hearts of the parishioners of St. Stephen the Protomartyr Parish, under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Fr. Paulo Barandon. Their selfless giving is a tangible expression of faith, unity, and a shared commitment to the future of our local Church.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to all parishioners who extended their generosity through their Tinagba offerings. Truly, every kilo of rice, every simple product shared, becomes a profound contribution to the journey of a seminarian—an act of love that strengthens his resolve and reminds him that he is not alone in his vocation.
In a world that often forgets the sacred, it is a blessing to witness a community that still believes, still gives, and still nurtures vocations with love.
Let us continue to pray for all our seminarians and those discerning their call, that they may grow in holiness, wisdom, and zeal for God’s people. May our parish always be a fertile ground for future priests and a faithful partner in the mission of the Church.
“The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” (Luke 10:2)
